The Night of the Three Lights Sighting
The Land of Oz
It was the mid-1960’s. The night sky in rural Kansas was as black as India ink except for the countless shining stars and other lights. The other lights were what had captured the attention of my older brother and me.
How odd that those other lights, three of them, stood out among the millions of stars. The three lights were coming down in an inverted triangle formation.
Whatever they were, they were moving so fast that they were going to crash to the earth. But suddenly, they stopped above the silhouette of trees on the distant horizon. They didn’t just come to a stop, they abruptly stopped; on a dime as some would say.
I don’t remember how long the three lights held their formations. I’m guessing it was about as long as I had been holding my breath in wonder. The lights glowed, but didn’t blink. I’m sure that my eyes were so big, like saucers, that they didn’t blink either.
I asked my brother in a whisper, “What is that?” I figured he would know since he was interested in things in the sky, like the jet he planned fly when he would be old enough to join the air force. “Don’t ask me,” was all he said.
Maybe the lights heard my question and become aware that they were being watched. Just as suddenly as they had stopped, the three lights took off. It wasn’t that they accelerated. It was as though they had already accelerated to full speed before moving. It took merely seconds, maybe less, to leap from the tree line back up on high and disappeared among the stars.
That was my first and only sighting of a UFO (unidentified flying object). They’re now referred to as a UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena). I’m old-school, so I’ll use UFO.
In the 60’s, people were usually mocked for claiming to have seen a UFO. God have mercy on anyone who claims to have been abducted. Whether they were brave or crazy, either might be put in a white coat with a bunch of buckles in the back. Years went by before I talked about that night to anyone other than my big brother.
Government Acknowledges UFO Activity
Only in this second decade of the 20th century have claims of UFO sightings become somewhat respectable. Even our government has come out of the closet and is talking about its involvement in UFO investigations.
April of 2021; a grainy Pentagon video of a UFO was leaked (probably deliberately) to the press. The Defense Department confirmed its authenticity. On May 17th of this year, a Congressional hearing on UFO’s was televised to the public. I watched the hearing as it happened. On June 9th, NASA announced it is commissioning a study team to examine unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs). Does anyone believe that NASA, hasn’t long been examining UFO’s?
People want to know; are UFO’s real? Is there life on other planets? Have aliens visited planet earth?
Those same questions have intrigued me since, some 60 years ago, I saw three lights among the stars that behaved in ways that have yet been explained.
I’ve since found some reliable explanations. They come from a source most people would least expect; the Bible.
I look forward, over time, to sharing what I’ve learned. I’ll tell you why I believe these UFO (UAP) sightings are being openly discussed today. Should you be concerned? Not necessarily. Should you be informed? Yes!
