The following article may be difficult for some men to read. Therefore, you might just look at the playful paintings below. However, if you’ve been diagnosed with prostate cancer or you know someone who has, you should check this out. I urge you to follow all the links for a primer on prostate cancer and treatment options. It’s very important that you read my article: Cancer Doesn’t Have to Be a Death Sentence.

In 2014, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Subsequently, I underwent robotic laparoscopic surgery to remove the gland. This is a procedure known as radical prostatectomy. The surgery was successful and I quickly returned to my normal activities.

Subsequent Treatment and Cure of Prostate Cancer

I was once again diagnosed with cancer in 2018. This time it was in the prostate bed area (aka: prostatic fossa). I underwent external beam radiation therapy. Radiation was administered in combination with hormone therapy. As I went through treatments, I took daily doses of God’s Word • The Power to Heal.

Post Surgery Painting: I paint my way over the mountainous journey and out of the cloud-bank of cancer.

For Men Only…NOT

This information is primarily for men. I’m writing about my experience in hopes of helping men to avoid or mitigate this survivable disease.

However, you’ll discover that many ladies (wives, daughters, etc.) are often actively involved with their man’s treatment and recovery. Therefore, kudos to all the ladies who stand by their man! I owe a special thanks to my wife Peggie for being at my side in every step of my journey.

God bless and keep you.
