If a moving stairway is called an escalator, what is another name for a *moving walkway?

I arrived at the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport. It’s layout similar to a ranch house. It grew horizontally, not vertically. I took a casual walk through the airport while looking for something to eat. I found Chick fil A.

After a tasty chicken sandwich and a quick sketch, I moved on to the terminal where I would catch my next flight. Wichita was my final flight destination, though not my final travel destination.

The Longest Layover

Let’s consider my flight itinerary and see if we can make a spiritual connection. Some people believe that there might be for them a layover between earth and heaven in a place called purgatory.

• My layover at the airport was pleasant : )
• A layover in purgatory apparently demands punishment : (
• Jesus fully paid my direct flight to heaven (no layover) : )
• Maybe a friend can purchase a standby ticket out of purgatory layover : (

What Does the Bible Say?

Here are some scriptures to consider regarding a person who dies believing in Christ:

• 1. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8
• For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; Revelation 22:18

To my friends who are concerned about purgatory. Your works will never be good enough to get you into heaven, neither here nor in a so-called place called purgatory. Your faith in Christ is sufficient. Nevertheless, I agree that we should all strive to do good works.
