Famine of the Infants
There’s a famine in America, and it’s affecting the most vulnerable of our population; infants. Frantic parents are scrambling to find baby formula for their children, especially those with compromised digestive systems.
There’s a lot of finger pointing over who’s to blame for the shortage. A contaminated manufacturing facility is high on the list. It would also be fair to point at government bureaucracy. Plus, corrupt and/or inept politicians didn’t address the problem months before it became front page news. Plus, there always seems to be a check box for supply chain issues.
Even some mothers are being blamed. If they’d only use their natural resources, we wouldn’t be in this mess. While it’s true that breastfeeding offers the best nutrition for infants, that doesn’t work in all situations.
I’m sure there are others who might bear some responsibility for the peril many families face as they search for the scarce supply of baby formula.
Let’s not turn a finger away from the source of all suffering; the devil. But where there’s a source of suffering, there is the solution; that would be Jesus.
Psalm 22, v 9&10 in the Bible is a prophecy concerning the Messiah who would one day come into the world . In the psalm, the writer, King David says this concerning Jesus’ conversation with God, His father:
…You are He who took Me out of the womb; You made Me trust while on My mother’s breasts.I was cast upon You from birth. From My mother’s womb You have been My God.
What beautiful verses.
