A Message to My Jewish Friends From the Prophet Isaiah
I designed and printed this pamphlet. The pamphlet is called ‘Talent Search’. On the cover is the Hollywood sign. It’s backwards.
Here in the center panel of ‘Talent Search’, I included this quote by Yashua, whom we in the west call Jesus. He said, “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.”
I always thought it was odd that I would include that particular passage in light of other scriptures in the pamphlet. However, I concluded that since it’s it was red letter, I couldn’t go wrong. Red letter is a colloquial term that refer to the words of the words of Yashua printed in red ink.
Now I understand why that particular scripture needed to be included.
Search the Scriptures
When Yashua made his ‘search the scriptures’ remark, He was a Jew talking to an audience of Jews. However, He was NOT telling them to search in the new testament, for that had not been written during His time on earth.
Yashua was telling His Jewish brethren to search the Tenackh; The prophets testified of Him. Moses wrote about Him in the Torah. He said that if they believed Moses, they would believe Him.
Since Israel became a nation once again in 1948, it seems that God is doing something very special with the Jewish people. Because Jews are making aliyah to their homeland as well as the diaspora in America, Africa, India and around the world, they are reawakening to their Bible.
Isaiah Speaks
Therefore, I say to my Jewish friends, search the scriptures; your scriptures.
Read Isaiah 7 that talks about a virgin giving birth.
Isaiah 9 that talks about a child being born. His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Is ther really a ‘forbidden chapter’? Is there a chapter in the Bible you will not hear read in many Synagogues? Isaiah chapter 53 talks about a man of sorrows who was crucified. No, the Jews didn’t kill Jesus, nor did the Romans. Yashua said “No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily.” John 10:18 NLT
Was Yashua really the person Isaiah, all the prophets and Moses wrote about?
I hope you will do as I, and countless others have done. We searched the scriptures for ourselves because we wanted to find out if it was so.
