House For Colors
Your original watercolor painting or pen & ink drawing will be a true handcrafted work of art. By that, I mean that I will not use any technology more advanced than pencils, sketch pens and watercolors to create your paintings.
If I could, I would visit every house and building in person and paint on-site like I’ve done hundreds of times around the world See my ‘Plein Air‘ paintings in the Gallery.
The next best thing to being there is to rely your photos and on my minds eyes to send that image to the painting surface. From there, I draw and paint what I have imagined; in the tradition of my artist daughter, Kenturah…the ‘Coordinator of brain, eye and hand movement’.
Although I consider myself a better-than-average draftsman with a keen eye for perspective, I don’t strive for photo-realism but rather, photo accuracy with personality. The lines in the painting or drawing will have some flare with flourishes. The colors may be a little more vibrant in some areas and subdued in others, but it will unify and lead the viewer through the scene. The message I hope to convey in the painting is, ‘real people live here’.
That’s the type of art I will offer the home owner.
